Trinity Episcopal Church (Caro, Michigan)

Trinity Episcopal Church (also known as Trinity Nazarene Church) is a historic church building at 106 Joy Street in Caro, Michigan, in Tuscola County in the Thumb region.
The Gothic Revival frame church was built in 1880 to house a congregation organized in 1871.〔Marcia M. Dievendorf, Patricia E. Frazer, & Mark O. Keller, ''The Caro Area'' (Arcadia, 2011), p. 66.〕 After the Episcopal congregation dwindled, the building was sold in 1934 to the Church of the Nazarene, which occupied the church until 1974.〔 The building was later acquired by the City of Caro and is now used by the Thumb Area Center for the Arts.〔
A historical marker is at the site. It reads:
:This skillfully designed board and batten Gothic Revival church, first served local Episcopalians in 1880. The congregation had been formed in 1871, the year the town was incorporated. During the 1870s Caro grew to be a major commerce center for the Thumb Area. By the 1920s, however, church membership dropped and the building was sold to the Nazarenes. In 1974 preservationists saved the church from demolition.〔(Michigan Historical Marker: Trinity Episcopal Church (Caro) )〕
The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
